Old Hickory Lake is a reservior with over 22,000 acres of water, 440 miles of shoreline and extends 97 miles of river way. It is on the Cumberland River in Sumner, Wilson and Davidson Counties just 25 miles northeast of Nashville.
Old Hickory Lake is operated by the U S Army Corps of Engineers.
Historic Rock Castle, Former home of Daniel Smith who is known for his contributions in setteling Hendersonville, Tn, is located along this lake in Drakes Creek.
